Ruby Throated Hummer-earthquake today

Look Who came to visit Yesterday

 thats right....a ruby throated Hummingbird.....I dare say he is a wee bit early.

 I was sitting outside soaking in some well needed Vitamin D and this little fella, buzzed up...

Well is sounded more like bfffffff then buzzzzzz.

I quickly ran in the house and grabbed the fancy Red Glass Hummingbird feeder i bought in the winter at a local thrift shop....washed it up and filled it with 1/4 sugar and 1 cup water.

Did you know that you should NEVER EVER give Hummingbirds the Red Liquid Food, sold in the stores....

Red food colouring can STERILIZE the Hummingbird.... 

That is just terrible.

Buy Containers that are red, not the food that is red...

P.S. did anyone feel the earthquakes today?  I did, it made all my china cabinets chiggle.....eek!

Chosen Moments♥

I was having a little fun this evening, just quickly sketching these two characters... :)

Just trying to freely create.

I was all set to add a bit of colour to them when somebody decided I needed to pay some attention to them.... LOL

 This is my girl Buddy.... she doesn't really care that her fur gets everywhere, or that she takes up most of my workspace...LOL....that's o.k.. because i don't care either....

It isn't anything a good duster won't fix....and i can paint anytime....only chosen moments with my girl Buddy......

WOYWW revealed

Mom was the word...

Actually Mom and Dad were the words.

It was my parents 50th Wedding Anniversary Saturday and my sister and I had them a surprise party.

I knew there was a slight chance my mother would be roaming the streets of bloggerville, so I wasn't taking any chances....

As you can see I created them this mini booklet card for their anniversary.

My sister Michelle and I along with our husbands and children all signed the back of it.

So whats on my work space today (tonight actually)Of course my boy is on my desk....alwaysHe loves me♥

I thought I'd show you the progress on my window garden.....LOLStrawberry and Herb.....Strawberries are a little shy I think....

Clothes Line Police

Call the Clothes Line Police...

I did something yesterday that I don't think I've ever done before...

I left my sheets on the line over night...and it rained....AHHH

I do have a good reason though, really I do...

Yesterday could of been a very sad day for our family, I thought I was having to take our 11 year old husky to be put down... :0(

She woke up almost unable to walk and was extremely lethargic.... I was so afraid.

She went to her favorite spot, which happens to be dirt under a huge spruce tree (with sticky gum) and would not... could not move.....on top of it all if was very humid with temperatures reaching they said 30 degrees ( I think that is...lets see 30 x 3=90 +30 = 120 with the humid index though it was closer to 40) not a day you want your sick dog outside...

So I took her to the vet (both my girls came along, just in case)...but WHEW!!!!

She has calcium buildup in her disks which is pressing into her spinal cord and causing some nerve interference.....could be serious is unattended....permanent paralysis...but that the Good Lord we went in time and she is now on steroids.

She cannot use the stairs still- which is a real drag because you can't get in or out of the house without stairs...so I have to lift her up and down....she is not impressed...but she is doing much better....

So.... let the clothes line police come, I was emotionally very tired....so there....LOL

Apparently it was Franklin time♥

Well I thought I would do some painting this evening, so I got my picture all sketched (well most of it), was leaning back to see what else it needed when Franklin decided it was time I visited with him....he had had enough of waiting.
So....do I gently place him onto his bed.....?
Do I nicely shoe him away.....?

If you can see where the arrow is you will see a tiny piece of
painting project.....he was clearly making a statement♥

Soooo patiently I sat visiting with my boy, hugs and kisses.

NONE of the above....I sit back and I wait.....painting can happen anytime, a visit with my boy is special....♥♥♥ Pin It

Rescue Ranger Cassidy

Well Hubby won't be to happy with me today.... I had to put this "oh-so-attractive" (NOT) line across our pool this afternoon... The next picture will tell you why.. :0(

I found this poor wee fella frantically paddling in the pool, I think he was on this last stroke when I fished him out. He rested his little chin on the side of the net and just closed his eyes..

Cassidy came running out, took him carefully off the net and wrapped him in her shirt. He sat oh so still for a very long time.... we let him down once, but he could hardly walk, so she scooped him back up and sat quietly in the sun with him. This is him after some TLC.

He is the third one I have had to fish out of the pool in the last week, but he was the only one that was still alive..... stupid pool.

Christmas Cactus

Well.... my "Christmas Cactus" bloomed at Christmas.... whada-ya-know!!!!!

This was part of my grandmothers cactus, my mother and sister both have "offspring" from it as well.

Looking at this picture I had to laugh at myself..... for a girl who has a house that is as tiny as mine, you wouldn't think I should be waisting it with such large decorations...... NAH!!!!

Of course I would.

As you can see also, Franklin is everywhere I go.... That's My Boy!!!!

Should of Known....

I should of known Franklin would find a spot to settle.

As you can see I do not have "A" room for my crafts and creating, I have many. It's o.k. though, they are all filled with my favorite things... :0)

Tomorrow I'll show you where I sit and create my images, and then I'll show you where I go to paint them.... I'm such a buzy girl...hehehe.

Too busy to notice that I have made OVER 100 posts..... I couldn't believe it when I noticed it....Soooooooooo....

Sucker for a Cute Face

This is my friend Franklin... he is quite the Mommy's Boy.....does not like to be alone.

As I try to be diligent with working on my new Online Web Site, I have this one little thing that prevents me..... :0)

He is forever pushing the "Caps" button, or the darn "HP help center".....

I eventually give in and..... shut down the computer, I wouldn't want him to feel bad or unloved.

If he isn't lying on my laptop, he is lying directly behind me on the floor.... I have only caught his tail in the wheels of my chair ONCE.....poor wee fella.

P.S. please ignore very very very ugly desk.... I found it at the end of a driveway on the way to church one Sunday..... I have to paint it "white" or course, but with winter here it will have to wait to go outside in the spring.....
