Ruby Throated Hummer-earthquake today

Look Who came to visit Yesterday

thats right....a ruby throated Hummingbird.....I dare say he is a wee bit early.
I was sitting outside soaking in some well needed Vitamin D and this little fella, buzzed up...
Well is sounded more like bfffffff then buzzzzzz.
I quickly ran in the house and grabbed the fancy Red Glass Hummingbird feeder i bought in the winter at a local thrift shop....washed it up and filled it with 1/4 sugar and 1 cup water.

Did you know that you should NEVER EVER give Hummingbirds the Red Liquid Food, sold in the stores....
Red food colouring can STERILIZE the Hummingbird....
That is just terrible.
Buy Containers that are red, not the food that is red...

P.S. did anyone feel the earthquakes today?  I did, it made all my china cabinets chiggle.....eek!

Happy Long Weekend....the UNOFFICIAL first long weekend of the summer....

Be BLESSED

  1. You have such a way of capturing life in your illustrations, Cynthia, and you do so in my favorite way...whimsically and lively. There are several artists in our home and some more serious than others. My favorite art is always lighthearted. This is beautiful.
No earthquakes in Florida but headed for hurricane season soon. :( Glad you're safe.
    Have a lovely weekend.
