♥Tea Party Anyone♥

I'm having a friend over today for Tea.

no, it's not this cute little hedge hog, although I'm sure she knows all about a proper cup of tea.

 It is a great day here today, despite my miserable mood..... and because of my miserable mood I decided it was time for some "pretty"!

 I decided instead of mugs we were going to use china.....so I pulled out a couple of my favorite tea cups Royal Albert "Dimity Rose" along with fancy cream and sugar bowl and the teapot my parents bought me last year for my birthday♥

Of course my boy will be present for the tea....after all there may be goodies involved...♥

 I set an extra teacup for a friend of mine who I wish was able to join me on this wonderfully sunny day....but she lives a wee bit to far away....

so she has an honorary place on the tray....♥ 

This is her cup..... I just love Royal Albert....this pattern is Lavender Rose

 My lovely niece bought me this cute little tea pot for Christmas ..it is supposed to hold loose tea leaves, but I like it hanging better.... :)

Well better run.....Tea is being served at 2:00 p.m.... best pretend I'm busy house cleaning....

Did I mention my mom came home today....Woot woot.... 

God is Good.....

another reason to have tea in china cups...

Perfect Timing♥

Look at what came in the mail today!

My sweet friend Neesie over at Neesie Natters (although my brain reads it as Neesie Matters)
sent me one of her wonderful calendars.... and look at what picture is on the month of March.... a wonderful Teapot and cup.... perfect!!
Isn't it wonderful.
It is interesting to look through it and see the different holidays they have.... I still assume everyones holidays are always the same... ( I still live in a teeny tiny world...lol)

Last night was a little scary, with a call from the hospital to say they've moved my mom to the ICU with blood clots, so this package arrived on the very best day it could.... God is good!

Wait a minute Mr. Postman

I'm so excited!!!

Look what came in the mail for me today, Yeah!!!!

I thought I was going to have to wait ANOTHER day for the mail to come, but to my surprise and the unfortunate reality of the letter carriers of Canada.....today is regular mail delivery.... "family day" holiday or not.

My dear friend Alice over at The Creators Leaf sent me this wonderful box of goodies....Micron pens, zentangle pencil, pencil sharpener, an interesting paper wad (which I assume is for blending ) special little zentangle pieces of paper and all in a sweet little PINK bag♥.

I have micron pens galore......which I might add, I can't buy anywhere in my area.

Woot Woot!

Alice sells these wonderful little goodie bags on her Etsy Shop....if you need goodies, go check them out.

Well I have to cut this post short....time to go and play with my new toys....I amuse easily....LOL...just asks my cats....haha

♥Hendon Cupcake♥

My dear sweet friend Alice of The Creator's Leaf  has seen my cupcakes post on Facebook and asked if I could create something for her expectant daughter -in-law....

I was so worried that she would not like it.....it's a little unnerving to create what you think someone else might like....especially if they are paying you for it....ahhhhhhhhhhh

So Alice.....here it is...I hope you like it.... :0)

Her daughter-in-law Bobbie's favorite colours are pink and purple....YEAH!!!

Alice wanted a mommy cupcake, a daddy cupcake and a wee baby cupcake....

So again, yeah!!! 

Pink for the mommy cupcake, blue for the daddy cupcake and mint green of course for the wee baby..... I had the mommy and daddy's heart ribbon wrap around the baby.....and since blue and pink blended together create purple....perfect colour for the hearts.

I sent my friend Jenn this Name Print I created, and this is what she did with it.
I have NEVER seen my "work" behind glass!.... most of it is tucked away in a file folder, or lying in waiting on my computer.
To see something that I created behind a shiny piece of glass is just so kewl, (I excite easy...LOL)

I've got the bug... :0)

I can't seem to stop myself from doodling.....

I have taken the challenge at "The Artists Playroom", and I can't stop.....

Thank you Jennifer at Just add Water, silly..... for this challenge that has rejuvenated my desire to paint roses again.....I almost forgot, go figure.

And I took the advice of Diana from "Illustration and Design" for encouraging artist to stay true to their own style and not get stuck in the rut of mimicking your favorite artists, use them as an inspiration......those were words well said.

A friend of mine was just blessed with her first grand-baby.....and it was a girl♥♥♥If you knew my friend you'd know how much fun she is going to have dressing up her new doll grand-baby in pink pink and pink.So I had to, of course, make a little something that has PINK and Roses.....♥
