Dragon Fly no. 2
I think I may have wrecked this fella....silly me.
As you can see by the top photo, he didn't always have these 'freckles'.
I watched a video clip by +Dion Dior the other night on "painting watercolour rocks", I clearly wasn't paying enough attention...
At the end of her very informative video, Dion explanes how to add a little more texture to the rocks, by "splattering" colour from a watercolour pencil...... again, i clearly wasn't paying attention.... LOL
I tried it....and ended up with "blobs".....then I realized she "flicked" the brush....by then I had already blobbed to much paint on..... but i did learn HOW not to do it.... and i learned I NEED to pay more ATTENTION!!!!....LOL
Well I wonder what Henny will think of this dragon fly?
For those who missed my other post, click here to explain Henny and the Dragon Fly.... :)
Pop on over and check out Dion's video clip
Well Blessings All,

Cynthia, your dragonfly is divine, as is your splatter. Random texture like this s sometimes a little hard to get used to, but you've done a lovely job. Thank you also for the mention. Hugs sweet friend. xx
ReplyDeleteThanks Dion.... it sure helps if one pays attention to the instructor....LOL ...I'll try another one, this time I will pay attention....LOL....can't wait for your tutorial on wax pastels.....
Deleteblessings,

Hi Cynthia,
ReplyDeleteI think the watercolor "blobs" look fine! They do add texture. I enjoy doing that technique with watercolors and have never tried it with watercolor pencils.
Bubble wrap gives great texture - as does tissue paper! tee hee.
Hugs,
Kay
Thanks Kay.... :)
DeleteThere is always something new to learn isn't there... :)
