I am encouraging the Ladies to come in a Pretty hat or Tiara, those ladies receive EXTRA goodies.

I'm not too sure YET, what we will be doing....

I'd like to maybe do a Devon Tea, but we'll see.

Gifts of Different Shapes♥

Well....the season for gifts is over....or is it?Do you know what Gifts you have been given by God?By Holy Spirit?Or by Jesus the Annointed One?
I came across some scibblings of thoughts I had in one of my old bibles about our Gifts from above.What does Gift mean? According to my "Strongams" concordance the Greek meaning for Gift means Charisma;a gift of grace, a free gift, divine gratuity, spiritual endowment, miraculous faculty.

I believe that at conception (or before) God gives us a set of gifts, I see these as who we are;Our DNA Gifts

In his grace, God has given us different gifts for doing certain things well.

So if God has given you the ability to prophesy, speak out with as much faith as God has given you.

If your gift is serving others, serve them well. If you are a teacher, teach well.

If your gift is to encourage others, be encouraging. If it is giving, give generously. If God has given you leadership ability, take the responsibility seriously. And if you have a gift for showing kindness to others, do it gladly.

Romans 12:6-8

I believe that Holy Spirit gives as Gifts as a "Situation Download"

To one person the Spirit gives

the ability to give wise advice, to another the same Spirit gives a message of special knowledge.

The same Spirit gives great faith to another,

and to someone else the one Spirit gives the gift of healing.

He gives one person the power to perform miracles,

and another the ability to prophesy. He gives someone else the ability to discern whether a message is from the Spirit of God or from another spirit. Still another person is given the ability to speak in unknown languages, while another is given the ability to interpret what is being said.

1 Corinthians 12:8-10

I believe that Jesus gave us gifts, these are our life ministries....our purpose.

Now these are the gifts Christ gave to the church: the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, and the pastors and teachers.

Their responsibility is to equip God's people to do his work and build up the church, the body of Christ.

This will continue until we all come to such unity in our faith and knowledge of God's Son that we will be mature in the Lord, measuring up to the full and complete standard of Christ.

My attempt at a Parisienne look...lol

As I stated before....Pretty is coming back.

While Hubby was away helping his folks redo their roof, I decided to strip the green wallpaper and get ready for Him to paint.
Sadly, while he was helping with the roof....he fell off the roof and broke his arm....a really bad compression break at the wrist....

So stripped bathroom had to wait.
Then.....a couple of weeks after the break, he lost his job of 30 years .....

So now...finally, the bathroom has pretty in it again.

I surprised myself and family by going with a soft blue...."blue veil" to be exact, and it still works with my shower curtain and print...whew!!

Besides my two wonderful girls, these three are three of my favorite people♥♥♥

Having completed all 8 of my Christmas Calendars with 3 days to spare, time allowed me the pleasure of creating these three images for my nephews and my niece....a.k.a....their mother (my sister♥)

Funny story about these;
I first sketched their outline and then went to fill in their faces....now I admit, I am definitely not a "Rembrandt" or a "Micheal Angelo" but I can sketch features of a face.
Anyway.....I had to leave their faces blank as I do with my Clara K Bella....I feel that it is because the minute I put features on them it defines them....and we are not defined by our faces, we are defined by;

our character,
our compassion for others,
our ability to love and to forgive.
our sense of honor and loyalty
our sense of right from wrong

Clara K BellaThis summer for my sisters birthday I created her a card (as usual)the difference was I decided to try and sketch her a card, rather then the usual "stamping"....I came up with this, well not this exactly...she has the original, but it did start the creative juices flowing once again.Clara K Bella was a song my sister would sing when we where young.... "Clara K Bella with her umbrella went for a walk in the sun....it didn't rain nearly a drop but Clara K Bella had fun"...We have no idea where the song came from, have never heard it since...:0) So I think I can safely use her name....LOL
Clara K Bella has started off being a rather primitive rendering, but she is developing into something with a little more ummmm....substance.Although my parents REALLY like the primitive version for some reason....:0)

So, as I pondered over the past year (whew a lot has gone on) I am left with the question....What is the purpose? Not asked in a "poor me" state, but in a state of... "o.k., so what now"?

I am pretty convinced that I am ~~some what~~ creative, and that I require a creative outlet to be happy.
I would love to be living on a hobby farm somewhere, with some chickens, couple of sheep, and wonderful vegetable and herb garden.
I would love to be making my own EVERYTHING I could, from soap and candles to butter and honey.
I would love to be crazily creating everything and anything to the point of running out of room to store it all.
I would love, love, love to be settled with who and where I am in my life.

I think you get the picture... :0)

What are my facts:

There are lots of creative outlets available, I just need to find the right niche for what I love to create.
Hubby is not interested in living in anything that requires a lot of maintenance a.k.a. money, unless I have a good job.
We do have some yard for a container garden, WE just need to learn how to be successful.
Nothing is really stopping me from creating anything....other then my own fear of failure.
I can be creating with the idea of Farmers Market this summer.
With hubby having lost his job after 30 years, buying a small farm house anywhere is totally out of the question.....it is pretty settled that I am moving no where anytime soon. I best learn to love where and when I am.

So as much as I would love to live on my own Homestead, I cannot.

But I can learn to make this home as much of our Homestead as I can.....

So stayed tuned for the transformation journey of this two story basic home on a quiet subdivision street, into a wonderful working homestead...

Well I thought I would do some painting this evening, so I got my picture all sketched (well most of it), was leaning back to see what else it needed when Franklin decided it was time I visited with him....he had had enough of waiting.
So....do I gently place him onto his bed.....?
Do I nicely shoe him away.....?

Soooo patiently I sat visiting with my boy, hugs and kisses.

Yesterday was a quiet day for me.

Hubby and Daughter have gone to the city to see his parents and I get to stay home, tidy the house (and have it stay that way) and watch the animals, I think I've gotten the better deal....love in-laws, but love quiet time more.

The above Picture was taken mid afternoon of the little plaza across the road.

These lovely pictures were taken roughly 4 hours later, just before the power was shut down to the whole town. What was falling was that lovely heavy snow that sticks to EVERYTHING it sees....I love that kind of snow, even if it takes out a power transformer. Within a few hours the power was back on and all was well.

My Family....small in numbers but mighty in strength.

Short one nephew and one step-niece, this is my family (my little photographer Victoria is not visible for obvious reasons....LOL).

What we lack in numbers, we certainly make up in love and loyalty.

We most certainly can make enough noise laughing and carrying on that you would think there was three times the amount of people gathered in one place♥

Well Christmas has now come and gone.

The gifts have all been delivered, the treasures put safely away, time to now sit back and enjoy the rest of the year.

Now that the gifts have been delivered and unwrapped, I can share some of what I was working on the past week or so.....
My Printer was working overtime (I think it's on strike).... I made Calendars for the women in my family...8 in total, plus a ton of rejects....LOL . My $70.00 four year old Canon sure came through for me.

My July picture is of me and my younger (by 14 months) sister.....I watched the movie "White Christmas" just before I painted this one.....so if you know the movie, the words "Sisters ♥ Sisters" has a little tune to it...:0)

One of my gifts this year was a new "India Ink" sketch pen and a new paint Palette... I'm very anxious to use them....I was using a square ceramic tile for my colour mixing, now I get to pretend I'm one of the famous people like "Susan Branch", Marjolein Bastin"...a couple of my favorites.

Look what I got yesterday!!!
I was so Blessed....

My friend Susie knew how sad I was that I have given most of my pretties away, and so she thought she would "get me started" back with collecting.
She went through her house ( you have to see her house, it's amazing) and picked out some pieces for me.
I believe this particular pattern is called "Windsor".

What a wonderful surprise.

Susie and Sarah are Aunt and niece combo that meet everyday, rain or shine to have coffee at the local restaurant where I used to work. When I was no longer working there Susie asked me to join them in the mornings at 10:00 for ~~coffee~~ Tea....I don't drink coffee :0)

God blessed me with these two wonderful women when I was going through a difficult time last year, and they have remained good friends.

Susie informs me that her and I are going to go "garage sale-ing" and "antiquing" this summer....yeah!!!

I was working on this the other night, instead of sleeping....LOL
I was visiting Lee Ann at Encouragement is Contagious.... and I became inspired to pull out my ink pens again.
I had forgotten that when I was younger I would spend hours, doodling with pen and ink.
I had one person even ask me if I would design a Tattoo for them... I thought that was funny.

So here I am again, back with pen of ink adding watercolors....
I was sketching with ink and using watercolor before, I just hadn't given myself the permission to doodle as well....things DON'T HAVE TO BE PERFECT.

Reminds me of life with Christ..... I don't have to be perfect....

Now if I could only remember to draw within the scanner lines, I'd be o.k.......LOL

Joan Baez - Banks Of The Ohio

I found this song this morning....... and why did I look for it you ask?

Well while most children fell asleep listening to the sounds of "Rock-a-bye-Baby" my younger sister and I ( we would of been 2 and 3 ) gently fell asleep to the sound of my mothers voice singing "Banks of the Ohio" while rocking in the creaky rocking chair.
It wasn't until several years ago (well maybe 10 years) did my sister, mother and myself even clue into what she was singing.
We just all loved the music.....we didn't even pay attention to the words.

How often do we sing, or say things without even realizing what we are saying....

Now thank goodness neither my sister or myself have been emotionally scared for life......LOL we have adjusted quite well....

Morning Surprise

Well last night I fell asleep to the sound of rain pounding on my bedroom window.....

that's right, I said rain!!!

You can see why there was such a shock when I woke up and peered out at 6:30 this morning.

Everything was coating in a thick layer of heavy snow, it was beautiful.

It truly was a Wonderland this morning.

As you can see my boy Franklin was in shock as well, he couldn't believe his eyes, although he has never touched snow, or felt it on his little precious paws....

He still kept looking out with a longing that said...."please can't I go play".... sorry my boy,

but outside you cannot play.

It saddens me to not allow him out, but I love him way too much to have him hop the fence and get lost.

Now if I thought he would stay on a leash perhaps he could go for a walk, just a my neighbors so faithfully walk their dog.

Christmas Snowballs

These yummy Snowballs have been a absolute Favorite of my family for years.

Introduced to me by my in-laws over 19 years ago.

My oldest daughter insists that I make them every year, at almost 25 years old..... I think she should learn to make them herself as well.

They are so tasty, and so easy.....a little time consuming, but well worth it.

You are welcome to try our Family Tradition..... let me know how you made out!!!

1 cup Butter (not margarine)

1 cup Icing Sugar

1/2 Tsp. Salt

1/2 Tsp Vanilla

2 cup Flour

Cream Butter.

Add Icing Sugar and Salt...beat until light & fluffy.

Add Vanilla and blend in the Flour.

Form into 1" balls.

Bake 350 for 15-20 minutes.

Allow to cool cool before rolling in Icing Sugar.

My Boy!

This is my boy Franklin.

He just absolutely loves to be where ever I am, even if that means in the middle or beginning of a project.

It is next to impossible to keep his fur out of my paints, paint brushes and even my water basin....but it is a nuisance I am willing to have, in order to have him with me.

He usually sleeps on an older dresser I have in here with sewing stuff in it, but every so often he has to get up.... stretch.....and saunter across my desk to check out what I am working on.

Before he settles back down for another nap, he must walk in front of me and rub my chin.....

What can I say,

I asked my daughter if she could take a few pictures for me yesterday.
I absolutely love her eye for photographs.....me I just point and shoot. lol

I think it is so kewl to be able to see something unique in something so average.

That must be how God sees each one of us.

If anyone know what type of berries these are, I would love to know.
We found them growing in a ~~swampy~~ marshy area, they look similar to bittersweet but are not on a vine.

I love the simplicity of this one.

What an awesome sight out of my studio window last night.

Winter has decided to make another entrance this month, and a very loud entrance this time.

I was looking out my studio window while I finished up my order of 50 handmade Christmas Tags for a local business The Banana Basket, and I could see the snow whisping its way across the roof tops.

I felt like I was looking out at the base of a mountain, and those of you who live at the base of a mountain, I'm sure you're giggling to yourself now....LOL

As much as I despise the cold, the slippery walkways and slick roads, the 4 foot drifts at the end of the driveway and the nuisance of piling on all that winter gear...... I do think Winter is pretty.

With its sparkle, its fresh fallen snow in the morning covering a multitude of sins, and with the power in the wind that gives goose bumps and not from the cold.

Ah Winter is here once again for another season!!!!

Time to Kick it Up at Knotch

Oh how sad I feel when I look at who I was, and now who I have settled to be.

My family may be happy, now that " all the crap" is gone, but my heart is sad....

LOOK!!! how boring everything is now, oh dear.

Well I guess I can rebuild, perhaps with a compromise of who I want to be, and want my family want.

That part of me is still in there, and she WANTS OUT!!!!

Two Tea or Not Two Tea

I went to the local "Bulk Barn" to get my "Seasonal Tea".... made by Celestial Seasonings. Candy Cane Land and Gingerbread Tea are my favorite, but they are only sold at Christmas Time, hence the "Seasonal Tea".....

I discovered this yummy wonderful delicious goodness in a box last year... I could not believe my taste buds....It is sooooo yummy, and the Candy Cane Lane Tea is a Green Tea and has zero, I repeat zero Caffeine.... a nice bedtime tea and it is also Gluten Free.

Once I had the Holiday Tea in the house, it was definitely time to start the decorating. I began in the kitchen only to realize, I do not have enough decorations.

Supporting the local dollar store is not where I want my money to go, so I guess I have to come up with some decorations of my own.....I wonder what to create???

Anyone have any "Green" Ideas for Christmas Decorations?????

Franklin thinks that I have put the Red Plaid cloth there just for him, he almost immediatly jumped up, layed down as if to say.... "Umm, this is my spot"....He's my boy, so of course it's his spot.

Today is 11-11-11

I woke this morning to see the ground covered in white, and it is still coming down...

I love the very first snow fall of the season.... and then it can stop...lol

My first job on this (and every first snowfall) morning, is to to call up my sister and sing some sort of Christmas Carol....usually Jingle bells, because that is the easiest to get your vocal cords around in the wee hours of the morning..

What do you do on the First Snow Fall?

There is just something magical about the first snow fall.

This little fella is one of my closest neighbours.

He lives in a giant of a Blue Spruce, right beside my back deck. He lives there with his two brothers, and they visit my feeders out on my deck and in my front yard everyday.

These delightful little tender creatures can make any day wonderful.

Although these NASTY little creatures made feeding out front interesting, they have laid claim to our Birch tree out from, which of course holds my feeders.

I googled this pest and discovered it is an Asian stink bug that snuck into the States and has made its way north.

For such a tiny little creature, they have a HUGE stink.

Harvest Time

I thought I would share with you what the Garner family grew and harvested this year....that's it, well that is half of what we grew....LOL
Try as we may, we cannot succeed in our attempts to backyard garden.
Any thoughts I had of doing down some yummy chili-sauce or wonderful green cucumber relish, died along with all the other plants....

So the containers must be emptied and put aside for another attempt next year, and we will TRY again next year....we always do. We do not succeed, but we try

I would never of thought!!!!

First there was felt the effects of an earthquake that hit Ottawa this afternoon, apparently my neighbours felt furniture shake and had Nick-knacks slide off shelves. I was driving home from ladies group and didn't feel a thing.

Then sometime between 6-7:00p.m. an apparent (environment Canada is here today to determine) TORNADO ripped through Midland. Thank goodness that it hit a mostly industrial area...Smith's Trailer Park was in the path and reports have it that at least 40 trailers are totalled.... one picture had them all smashed into one another like fallen domino's.

This kind of weather mayhem just doesn't happen around here, it was (is) very freaky.

Of course my mind started questioning WHY???? What the heck has changed in the atmosphere (spiritual)...then DING!!!!

We are hosting the G8 and the G20 this week.... delegates started arriving YESTERDAY (same day). Maybe there is a connection, maybe not...

Well our Major has issued a "State of Emergency", a large section of town is without power do to so many fallen lines.

Hubby chose a great week to take his holidays, if not he would of been having to work smack dab in the middle of it all.

He is an Operations Manager for Bell in the Muskoka's primarily Huntsville....

Well Hubby won't be to happy with me today.... I had to put this "oh-so-attractive" (NOT) line across our pool this afternoon... The next picture will tell you why.. :0(

I found this poor wee fella frantically paddling in the pool, I think he was on this last stroke when I fished him out. He rested his little chin on the side of the net and just closed his eyes..

Cassidy came running out, took him carefully off the net and wrapped him in her shirt. He sat oh so still for a very long time.... we let him down once, but he could hardly walk, so she scooped him back up and sat quietly in the sun with him. This is him after some TLC.

He is the third one I have had to fish out of the pool in the last week, but he was the only one that was still alive..... stupid pool.

So I was shopping early this morning (why I have never thought to go grocery shopping before noon before I'll never know) and I was in the Vitamin section.... I was reading them all trying to decide which was the best.... and to my horror (well almost horror) I discovered that Bayers One A Day Vitamin for Women has Laurel Sulfate as an added ingredient.... I could not believe it, in a vitamin.... check your bottles ladies.

Dangers of Sodium Lauryl Sulfate:

"This inexpensive detergent is commonly used in cosmetic cleansers, hair shampoos, bath and shower gels, bubble baths, etc. - It is probably the most dangerous ingredient used in skin and hair-care products. In the cleaning industry SLS is used in garage floor cleaners, engine degreasers, car-wash soaps, etc. It is very corrosive and readily attacks greasy surfaces.

Sodium lauryl sulfate is used throughout the world for clinical testing as a primary skin irritant. Laboratories use it to irritate skin on test animals and humans so that they may then test healing agents to see how effective they are on the irritated skin.

A study at the University of Georgia Medical College, indicated that SLS penetrated into the eyes as well as brain, heart, liver, etc., and showed long-term retention in the tissues. The study also indicated that SLS penetrated young children's eyes and prevented them from developing properly and caused cataracts to develop In adults.

May cause hair loss by attacking the follicle. Classified as a drug in bubble baths because it eats away skin protection and causes rashes and infection to occur.

I was pondering today the process that my brain uses to get me to where I need to be...
I can start of thinking one way, and after many twists and turns I end up where I think I need to be...just like walking a maze... So My Life is A-maze-ing...

And then I was jolted into the reality of how amazing my life is...

I met a deligthful young lady (perhaps 20 years old) today....
after being kicked out of home on her 13th birthday, and having to live off of the streets and in shelters... this young lady has one of the best attitudes and gratefulness I have seen....
This girl has a story to tell, and through her tears I could see her heart.

Please remember "A" in your prayers....
that she would get to know the LORD, and be able to begin the ministry that I think is waiting for her.

I don't know what has happened.

I was quite paniced when I was visiting Counting Your Blessings and Parisienne Farmgirl.... the other day. Looking at their BEAUTIFUL homes and then thinking of what I have gotten rid of (not that mine came close to theirs but...), donated it to the youth garage sale and the rest to my friend (who won't give it back.... :0)

But after the panic subsided I began to feel a little calm, thinking "o.k. this style is probably (hopefully) not where I am going to stay", perhaps it was just a bridge from the Cottage look to the "Bigger House" look, maybe the farm house look.....maybe a baroque farmhouse (is that a real style). I'm not sure what is next, but I do hope I'm not staying with this "uncreative" look.

The only up side to all of this is that my Husband and Children are happy!!!! They HATED the other look... my hubby would call it "that shabby chic sh_t".... can you imagine...:0)

A Perfect Day

Today was an ABSOLUTELY perfect day for laundry.
After many, many, many days of rain and cold temperatures, today was a welcome sight.

There is such a satisfy feeling having washed your clothes and hung them neatly on the line...they smell sooooo wonderful when you bring them in the house.
There is not a Fabric Softener around that can compete with line dried clothes.....in my opinion anyway.

Well lets hope the weekend is full of sunshine and happiness.....

Crazy or What????

O.K. sooooo, yesterday hubby and I are invited to dinner with his co-worker. We are to meet in Base Borden....a military base.... Yeah!!!! I was so excited, I love the military, I love the honor and loyalty there is....
So anyway, I'm excited to see some of our men and women in uniform.... would you believe I saw not a one.... zero.... zip..... didn't they know I was coming.... hello!!!! LOL
Seriously, I was a little disappointed, but what I did see last night, totally shocked me....totally.....

I saw, a freakin' blizzard..... in May, a snow storm.... one minute the sky and road was clear, and the next the road was just gone....crazy I tell ya, crazy...
We arrived home safe and sound.

Well today is Mother's Day.... hubby had to work.... youngest is of to church with her friend and my oldest is taking me out for lunch.... life is good......

Even if it snows it May.... :0)

Well I think summer has arrived.... I am so glad it has decided to come early.... Yeah!!!!!

Recently I have decided that it was time to "purge". I took van loads of lovely wonderful and beautiful things to the youth garage sale (actually that was last summer).
I want to have things about my (our) home that have meaning, well at least more meaning then I just found it and it's adorable (my) our home was WAY too full of that stuff.

So I have noticed that my walls are becoming rather bear.....soooooo I thought, why not take and use my own photo or pictures.
On that note;
the other day my plum tree was buzzing with what I believe, honey bees... Yeah!!! I was so excited, seeing as how they are on the decrease :0(..... anyway I took some photos of my lovely blooming plum tree and some very busy honey bees..... unfortunately I keep forgetting to get them out of my darn camera.....

Who Watched the Olympics???

Personally I was NOT crazy with the idea of having to watch the darn Olympics every night. But hubby is a sports FREAK and to not watch them on the 52 inch would just of been mean.

So, the big night came and we watched the opening ceremonies, I cried and cried.... crazy I know.
I was so proud of my country, it was funny..... I watched a bit of the opening ceremonies via an American channel...... that's what got me crying, to hear the wonderful things the States was saying about my Canada....

I think it SADLY funny that our own Prime Minister had to tell us to cheer for our athletes and that we would apologize for it later.....
Well we have, I think become so much MORE PATRIOTIC then ever before.....

So thank you Olympics for making us quiet Canadians stand up and cheer....

Woo hoo.....

p.s.... It's o.k. I know the closing ceremonies where not very good.... although I loved how we starting off making light of the disaster of the opening torch lighting ceremony......♥

Oh My Goodness!!!!

Whew, where have I been..... it really seems a life time ago that I even entered the Blog world.

God has just really been plotting out my recent journey..... it feels as though I have been on a crash tour... LOL
I have been down so many new avenue's that I cannot begin to name..... all terrific avenues though.

I feel as though my eyes have been opened to so many new things, new outlooks, new views....although..... alot of people I know don't always agree, but that's o.k.... because God told me that I was going to have thinking, that was out there, it's all about HIM!!!!!

As for my home life, welll..... again..... an interesting journey of new ideas..... things are well here.
God has never left me nor has He ever abandoned me, His grip on my just keeps getting tighter.

Perhaps, if you will so let me, I will elaborate someday on the wonderful things He has shown me. How simple things are supposed to be.....

Well ladies, BE TRULY BLESSED.

It's time to get back to cleaning..... hubby has bought me a new and functional desk.... one that is great for computing and crafting.....
I had a bit of a brain rebellion..... it over powered my creative side, once again.... but creativity cannot be kept quiet for long.

Oh my goodness.... I have not posting anything in so long.

I am "strangely" looking forward to Autumn. It's time to put the start thinking about hibernation once again.....
For years I thought I only loved Summer, but as I "mature" I realize I need the other seasons.
Autumn is the season for winding things down, to do preserves, to start thinking of indoor projects..... time to get ready for the next season..... WINTER.

Winter is one of my LEAST favorite seasons, although I do appreciate the feeling of things going dormant for a while.... time for just the basics.... a time for REST.
I love a good snow storm (when all family members are safe off the road of course).

Spring is a time for renewal, for coming alive..... to peak ones head out after a long, long, long snowy winter.... time to put the necessary but inconvenient boots, coats, hats and mitts away once again.....Time to stir up the creative juices, that have been gently stirring.

Summer, well summer needs no explanation..... time to just be!

A Fall off the Planet

Oh my goodness, it feels like it has been at least 100 years since I sat down with my computer.
Well life has been very interesting for me, very busy.
I have moved home, purged several van loads of "stuff" (teacups, dishes, flowers, vintage pots...etc. etc. etc...) all of it went to the youth group garage sale.....yeah, good cause.

Yesterday I got rid of my two gold chairs.... those I had slight pangs of regret, but only fleeting pangs..... they where in need of recovery (aren't we all LOL) and would have to spend months if not years in storage -my house does not have room for excess anymore.
So I opted to bless someone with my chairs...gulp!!!! I'm sure I will be better off without them.
I kept things that had meaning or a memory......life is too short to hang on to things "just because".

Well, my backside is yelling at me to "Get Up"....so I shall oblige and make myself some tea.

This Way or That Way

Good day my friends.
I was sitting looking around my living room yesterday morning thinking of which way I should be directing my energies....this way or that, this way or that....over and over again.(driving myself mad I was), when I was reminded of a dream (a life lesson) I had had about a year ago...I thought it was very useful and decided to share it with you... :0)

I dreament that I was like Daniel and was in a lions den, I knew that God would save me from the lions so I started to find the way out.
I began running around the perimeter of the cave, around and around looking for the opening, when the Lord told me to stop and stand in the middle.
When I did that He said, there is the way out. I was running past it over and over again.
I needed to stand still, and allow God to tell me where the way out was, where the open door was. And it was just steps from where I was standing.

I have been once again, running around the cave again looking for the answer, waisting energy and time. I need to stand and be still and let God tell me where I should go.

Our Passover Lamb

Oh how I do tend to go on.... and.... on :0)

This year I believe I have a suggestion for an alternative to the world's easter (Easter was originally a pagan festival celebrated in the spring time.)and our remembering the day that our Saviour died for us.

I was mulling over the thought a while back about "communion" and how it has become a regular ritual in so many churches today...ours it is the 2nd Sunday of the month...we all gather at the front of the building each with tiny wee glass of grape juice and a carefully cut piece of bread in our hands. Someone reads the scripture relating to the service, and then we all together "partake of the elements"......

I wonder why we don't remember to do what (I believe) Christ told us to do????

When we gather for the Resurrection Celebration (better then the word easter )
I (personally) think that we should (could) be remembering the sacrifice our "PASSOVER LAMB" made for us at the time of the Passover Feast.
Why not during our family dinner have a time of breaking bread and taking of wine (or grape juice)....why not remember Him, as He asked His disciples to do....

I believe (my thoughts) that when Luke writes, 'and He took bread, gave thanks and broke [it], and gave [it] to them, saying, "This is My body which is given for you; do this in remembrance of Me."
He was referring to when they gather for Passover in the future (Christ knew they were Jewish and would continue participating in the feasts)..... remember that He went on to be our Passover Lamb....remember the significance of it all, He fulfilled the Passover Feast.

If we are going to take communion ritually once a month, at least remember to do it on the day in which it was first done..... Passover in the Upper Room.

And when our children and grandchildren ask us why are we doing this? We can answer, "we are remembering that Christ became our Passover Lamb, that He made the ultimate sacrifice so that we could be in relationship with Him....that is how much He loves each one of us"

'It [is] the Passover sacrifice of the LORD, who passed over the houses of the children of Israel in Egypt when He struck the Egyptians and delivered our households.' " So the people bowed their heads and worshiped

I have been thinking lately (shocker) about church, prayers, healing and such.
Week after week people ask for prayer for certain people or certain physical problems (usually same people, same prayer).
Now our church seems to operate a wee bit different then others I have been to; we have a coffee break in the middle....I used to feel it was good, but now.... not so much.
Just before our "coffee break" we have testimony and prayer time, so we regularly hear the progress of those around us.

Well here is my thought.....
Say there was this guy who had terrible stomach pains, he has had them for several days now. Finally by the convensing of others he goes to a doctor.
He sits down in the office, has a brief chance to explain his symptoms and is then prescribed ocycet (spelling optional LOL).
He leaves the office thinking, what the heck.....how is that going to help.....they are only going to deal with the pain perhaps.
That doctor didn't do any tests, didn't even feel his stomach didn't even lay a hand on him.... how would he know what was wrong with him.

That is kind of how I feel that prayer within the body has become.(please do not hear me saying that we should not pray for people, or that if you can't ask questions you should pray..... I'm just saying I have a thought...o.k.)

This fella was having severe stomach pains because he was so constipated. He did not heed the advice of others and watch his dairy intake, he thought they were silly.... after all they were not doctors.
So he is prescribed something that in fact would only add to his pain.... it would have an illusion of relief but ocycet would only further his constipation.

We need ( I believe) to be asking more questions, finding out what has gone on in someones history.... is there a reason for this on-going problem.

I know of a man who is his teens, rebelled....followed the life of alcohol, and it caused him the use of his legs.... because of his actions he was involved in an accident that left him seriously crippled.
He has requested prayer, his wife has requested prayer.... and hardly a change....so, what's up. One person in particular has prayed for him and has both times told the enemy to leave him, he has no rights to him..... and I thought, maybe he does....maybe in his youthful rebellion he made choices that opened some doors giving the enemy rights.... (I did go and share this with the man....who received it well I believe....I shared that I thought he needed to -with Holy Spirit's guidance- find out what doors were opened and close them shut, sealing them in the blood of Jesus)....I'm not sure if he has done that or not.

I know of two other people (Christians) who were suffering with bad backs, both at the same time.....so again one of them requested prayer.... a prescription prayer was prayed, and nothing......it dawned on me that these to people had something in common..... they were both guilty of not standing up for something, they did not use their back-bones and say hey, I think this is wrong and I am not participating in it.....So I shared with them as well my thought that they needed to ask the Father's forgiveness for not using their back-bones, and to ask God to bring healing and restoration into those parts of their lives.... which they both did..... I think there backs are better.

Why did I share all this with you today..... I don't know, perhaps simply because I was thinking of it again this morning, and I wanted to share.

How Great Is Our God

A couple of times now I have woken up with this song on my heart. The words that ring loudest and constant are; God head three in one..... and then the chours follows.... "How Great is Our God". ( I don't even think that they are both the same song...LOL)

I am not sure of the signifigance of this, I have tried to compare it to what was going on in my life right now.... and I cannot compare anything in my life to "the God head, three in one".....
Hmmm, maybe that is part of it.... it is.....
there is nothing that can even come close to the power of The God Head, Three in One.....
so How Great is Our God?????

Don't forget that EARTH DAY is this weekend.
Lights out for one hour.

Lets start turning out our lights "before the parties over" (Willie Nelson), before we are forced to regularly shut things off.
We (as a population) are growing faster then ever before, and we are using WAY more resources then we should..... we are gluttons.

We build roads that we can't possibly ever maintain, we buy cars and consume fuel faster. we eat in abundance instead of necessity (look at the children of tomorrow, how many are over weight because of gluttony diets and fast food)..... How many televisions, computers, game consoles run in our homes at one given time.....Not counting the dish washer, and the dryer (we wouldn't want to use a drying rack or cloths line)....How many IPOD's or cell phones are plugged in being charged.......I could go on but I won't, I'd hate to waste hydro on such nonsense LOL.

SO.... remember lights out for ONE hour...... buy a candle, play cards....talk about "Little House on the Prairie"....which I might add is unknown to many youngsters of today ;0(

I'm O.K.... I haven't fallen off the face of the earth..... I haven't even slipped under a rock... :0)
I'm just very preoccupied with life lately..... it keeps getting in the way of my living.
Now does that make any sense at all????
Funny thing is, is that it makes a bit of sense to me....LOL

I plan to settle myself tomorrow, and particiapate with the rest of the planet and live.....
So hopefully I will have something exciting to share, well at least something interesting....

Well today is "Family Day".....crazy.

(I never watched this show, so I hope it was a good value show :0)
I'm not really sure why our government thought we needed another statutory holiday, but they did.

Family Day, I guess we are supposed to spend the day with our family, seems reasonable I guess.

Personally I think it not necessary...isn't that why we have WEEKENDS.
What about all those folks who have to work in the stores or at the ski hills or restaurants, how do they spend their family day.....servicing all of those spending family day....

Crazy I say, Crazy.

If they really want to promote Families Spending the Day together, then lets go back to the day when Stores were closed on Sunday's so that families could be together.....

Ah crazy I say Crazzzzy.

So Happy Family Day......EH!!!!

.... we are gathering at my parents for a afternoon winter bonfire....Brrrrrr ;0)

What about those poor folk with no family and no one to love them, can they feel any lower. First Valentine's Day to remind them they are alone, and then two day later Family Day...a real reminder that you are alone and no one cares....... those poor folk most certainly need to know the L♥VE ♥f the Savi♥ur.....we should remember to pray for them......(I am the worst at remembering things like that...my bad)

I just completed a quiz that said I was a "Daisy"....

I HAVE!!!!, I'll admit it....

I took the "disney princess" one and very quickly discovered the answers that where for Cinderella and not Snow White.... I like Cinderella, not Snow White (she annoys me, I know I know).

My dear Friend Monica showed up Sunday afternoon, with this wonderful bed along with the sofa and love seat...... Can you say comfortable.

As you can see I need to get some bedding for a queen size bed, along with a proper frame.... but i don't care, I love my new comfy items....

Please pray for Blessings for my friend Monica, she is very sad and can use God's hand in her life.
P.S. Isn't this just a wonderful and sunny apartment my Father has provided?

Look at the wonderful handmade gifts, I just love them... they are so me.

If you will take note of the two unopened gifts at the bottom of this picture, they are for my two girls..... it is driving me crazy not opening them, perhaps one might rip by accident...No eh!

My daughter, Victoria Rose was convinced that the information she received from "someones mom" was correct.... the information being that as of February 1st. there was to be NO MORE SNOW..... that's what she was told :0)

Oh if only we could control the weather.....well actually it is probably a good thing God does it, or we (I) would have ruined the planet by now..... it would only snow once a year, and rain might be something that happens once every couple of months......Can you say "desert"

Darn.... just one more thing that I shouldn't be controlling LOL... God is good.

Me... an Enabler....no way!!!! REALLY?

Now if you had of asked me 6 months ago, heck even 3 months ago if I thought I was an "enabler" of would of said NO WAY!!!! After all, I know what an enabler is, I know the lingo....right???? WRONG.
I am so an enabler....LOL
I thought I was being a "good Christian wife"....being there for worse, waiting for the better. Waiting for a miracle, doing what I thought was my part. HA!!!! All I was doing was interfering, manipulating my surroundings (trying to).
I had not realized how much of my day, my life, was occupied with trying to control an alcoholic..... after all, if I could control the situation, then perhaps I could control whether or not he drank...... and if I could control if he drank, then I could control whether or not if he came home, and if he came home would there being fighting.......stupid girl Cindy, stupid girl.... O.K. maybe not stupid......naive maybe.... uneducated.
I am so striving to "LET GO & LET GOD"..... easy in theory.... I have 17 years of enabling to shed.
I know that with God's help I will..... He has supplied all the tools necessary for me to do that, I just need to locate and access them. I may even attend an Al-Anon meeting, who knows.
It's all good.... it is amazing to look back at something that now has a light shining on it. It is so clear.
Oh My Goodness...... It has just dawned on me.... ('ding' goes a light bulb); I have been saying (quite forcefully) to my family and friends that I can deal with anything, just as long as I understand it..... I could do hard labour because I understood the process of delivery (a baby).... well I get it now, I can deal with my next level of healing because I understand what is wrong.... WOW!!!!
I SERIOUSLY HAVE TO LET GO AND LET GOD HEAL CINDY.... and let husband worry about husband (don't worry, I still pray for him, that he will allow God to shine light into his life, that God would send His angels to hold back the darkness and allow His light to shine.)

God is so Faithful

He is so good!!!!!
My two girls and I have very recently had to relocate.
Our home situation was one that I no longer could handle.....after 15years of marriage leaving it is not something done easily.....but God was there every step of the way....
We were only two days at my sisters when He provided us with a lovely apartment, one with chickadees at my back window....how awesome is that (I love chickadees).
I believe that through the use of a dream, He told me that Holy Spirit IS guiding me....whew!!! What a relief that knowledge was.
So I am looking to my future with hopeful eyes...I hope to be trained to do something that I love, something that can sustain myself and my girls.....it would be a blessing if this relationship could be salvaged, I know that God believes in marriage, I believe in marriage, but I am no longer sitting around waiting for the "what if's" to happen....I'm getting out there, getting on with the rest(beginning) of my life... I have to start living, and not fretting.
He is my provider
He is my comforter
He is my rock
He is to be Lord of all my life.

I know that God is here for me now.... and will be there for me later...whatever my situation.

I think that to be a very good idea.

So here are some of mine;

To allow God to do some more healing in me
To become less focused on personal garbage
To be an encourager to those I meet.
To become a more focused, centered person
To be a more generous person
To commit myself to sticking with online business
To enlarge my circle of people
To develop more Blogger Buddies

Well.... my "Christmas Cactus" bloomed at Christmas.... whada-ya-know!!!!!

This was part of my grandmothers cactus, my mother and sister both have "offspring" from it as well.

Looking at this picture I had to laugh at myself..... for a girl who has a house that is as tiny as mine, you wouldn't think I should be waisting it with such large decorations...... NAH!!!!
